We've been having regular brunch dates with friends for the past few months, rotating houses, trying new recipes, entertaining their children who, I've found, happen to really like a lot of the same things I like (seashells, cats, drawing, bacon). Being with friends brightened up the seemingly endless winter, and watching their kids play happily in my living room has been an unexpected highlight of my weekends.
No edits to these except for cropping. Just perfect, that light.
P.S. Those white blooms are wild valerian, an Ohio native that I love particularly. I'm going to toss some seeds in the wild part of my yard (every yard should have a wild part - mine's that forgotten space between the shed and fence) and hope for the best. Seeds and tiny plants really do have a will to grow and live - I bet they'll do just fine.
